History

Botrona Farm holidays is located in the country of the upper Maremma, in the commune of Scarlino, only 2 km from the seaside, immersed in the green of olive trees and vineyards..

The farm extends on a surface of 26 hectares about, with vines, olives and cereals cultivations. The farm has been a property of Ceccarelli Family since sin the half of the nineteenth century, when the founder Luigi Ceccarelli there settled coming down from the Pistoiesi Hills, looking for new pasture lands for the herd. The farm is actually run by brothers Davide and Simone Ceccarelli.

Since 1999 have begun works of the new farm improvement plan that have completely changed the image of the farm. They have been favoured the olive growing, extending the already existing olive groves and vineyards by doing new implantations, with special cloning choices, improving the already existing types of Sangiovese and adding Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah.

Thanks to the renovation of a farm built in 1935, it has become the farm holidays’ activity. .
